Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
This policy describes the current NautiDock app and this public website. The information processed depends on the features you use and what you or your marina provide. It does not replace a marina's own privacy notice. Questions about this policy can be sent to admin@nautidock.app.
1. Information we handle
Account and profile information includes your name, email address, account role, and, if provided, phone number, profile image, home port, and emergency-contact details. Provide another person's details only if you are authorized to do so.
Sign-in uses a password and session credentials. Passwords are stored as password hashes on the server. Session records can include a token, expiry time, IP address, and browser or device user-agent information. Email sign-in and password-reset flows handle temporary verification codes or tokens.
Boating and marina records can include vessel details, registration or hull identifiers, photos, insurance-document links, marina membership, slip assignments, reservation dates and notes, guest names and contact details, waitlist entries, check-in and checkout details, and condition reports or photos.
Communications and operations records can include messages and read status, reviews and ratings, service requests, marina notes and tags about boaters, announcements, maintenance tasks, staff assignments, and activity histories. Contract records can include populated terms, names and contact snapshots, signatures, and document links.
Financial records include invoices and line items, balances, transaction or deposit records, receipt references, and subscription records. Saved payment-method records contain a card brand, last four digits, expiry month and year, and a default flag. Do not enter full card numbers or security codes in free-text fields or uploads.
When you upload a file, its contents, original filename, file type, size, and stored-file URL may be processed. Only upload material needed for the relevant feature.
2. How information is used
Information is used to create and maintain accounts, authenticate access, show marina and vessel details, handle reservation requests and marina operations, exchange messages, display invoices and records, and produce marina reports.
Contact details and device tokens support account emails and notifications. Activity records, request logs, errors, and rate-limit information help operate the service and investigate problems or misuse. Marina reports summarize operational and financial records.
If you contact support by email, your address and the information you send are used to review your request. Send only the details needed for assistance.
3. Device permissions and local storage
Where a photo feature is available, camera or photo access is used only when you choose to take or select an image. A supported device can request notification permission and register a push token linked to your account and platform. Push messages can include reservation or message information, which may appear on a lock screen depending on device settings.
Maps display marina and slip locations and may show your device's location when allowed by your device's permissions. The app does not send your device location to our servers or track your location in the background. Opening directions sends the marina destination to Apple or Google Maps, which may process location and technical information under their own terms.
The app stores sign-in session information in device secure storage. Local app storage also retains preferences such as your last selected role and selected marina.
You can revoke camera, photo, and notification permissions in device settings. Some features will then be unavailable. Uninstalling the app does not itself delete server records; use Delete Account in Settings.
4. Marina sharing and service providers
Marina owners and staff can receive account and contact details, vessel and booking information, messages, contracts, invoices, and other records associated with their marina. Public marina listings and reviews can display marina details, review content, and a reviewer's name or image.
The service uses hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, and push notification providers to operate. These providers process the information needed for their role and may keep their own technical logs. Contact us for details relevant to your account.
Information may also need to be disclosed in response to applicable legal requirements or to address security, safety, or disputes. A marina may maintain its own copies and records under its own policies. NautiDock does not use advertising or cross-app tracking.
5. This website, cookies and logs
This website does not require an account, set advertising cookies, or include analytics or advertising pixels. If you submit the early-access form, the details you enter are stored so we can respond to you. The website host may receive standard request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser type, time, and response status.
The signed-in app uses session cookies or stored tokens. Our servers log request paths, status, timing, and application errors.
6. Retention and account deletion
Account and marina records remain until removed through supported functionality or an account-specific review. Session and verification credentials expire.
You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This is available for every account role, including marina owners and accounts with reservation or financial history. If the flow fails, email admin@nautidock.app with the subject "NautiDock account deletion request." Deletion removes your profile and account identifier, passwords and sign-in accounts, sessions, push tokens, notification preferences, saved cards, vessels, personal reservations, requests, messages, reviews, favorites, memberships, and linked personal contract content, signatures, document references, tags, and notes. Registering again does not restore a deleted account or its history.
Issued invoices and payment or deposit records may remain so that ledgers and other customers' totals stay accurate. Personal notes and identity links in those records are removed or replaced by random placeholders that cannot be used to sign in.
When an owner deletes their account, their marina is closed, removed from public discovery, and blocked from new bookings, and its owner contact and publishing details are removed. Other customers' accounts and records remain.
Deletion does not cancel an agreement outside NautiDock, settle a balance, or issue a refund, and it may not immediately remove copies held in backups, logs, or by service providers. Contact us to understand what was removed and what remains for your account.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You can review and update your profile and vessel details in the app and manage device permissions. To request a copy of your information, a correction, account deletion, or information about sharing, email admin@nautidock.app with the subject "NautiDock privacy request" and your account email.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, port, restrict, or object to processing, or to complain to a data-protection authority. Requests may require identity verification and can be subject to legal exceptions or record-retention obligations.
8. Security and children
NautiDock uses authentication, server-side access checks, password hashing, and device secure storage. No system is perfectly secure. Protect your password and device, keep sign-in codes private, and do not send sensitive documents or payment credentials by email or chat.
NautiDock is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. If you believe a child's information has been provided, contact admin@nautidock.app.
9. Updates and contact
This policy may change as the service changes. The effective date above identifies this version.
For privacy questions or requests, email admin@nautidock.app with the subject "NautiDock privacy request." Include your account email and the nature of your request — never your password, sign-in codes, full payment details, or identity documents.
